c.1900: One Room School Building. Teacher is Miss Willits (now Mrs. Randall). She was the teacher about 1900. Students (38) are arranged on school steps in 4 tiers with the teacher seated in the middle of the top tier.

Eagle County Historical Society volunteer and President, Kathy Heicher, stands in the refurbished Bellyache school. The school had deteriorated into a pile of logs when Jack Oleson decided to move the building back to its original location and reconstruct the building.

c.1880: Log cabin used for a school house, Red Cliff, Colorado. There were 5 pupils who attended and Dora McMillan was the teacher. One door, one window shown in a front-view with snow on the ground.
The cabin is behind the Reno Cafe & Bar, 127 Water St., Red Cliff. It has been used for many purposes over the years, including a garage. Jack Ages, Ilene Warren's father, lived there at one point.
