5) Dice Place

An unidentified man is leveling field previously plowed, probably disced and/or harrowed. Level or "drag" on which he is standing carries a small amount of soil with it that is shaved off the high places, and then if leaks out underneath into the low places to create a uniform (or level) slope so that irrigation water flows uniformly. 8) Cyrus Dice

Cyrus Dice, at right, and an unidentified man riding horseback at Brush Creek. Cyrus Dice ranched on Brush Creek for many years, moving to Eagle when he retired. He was married to Anna Norman until her death in 1949, and was then married to Imogene Lewis in 1957.

11) Schlutter Place

The Schlutter Place (previously Frost Place) on Brush Creek, purchased by Fred and Helen Dice in spring 1950. The farmhouse had been remodeled. Sign reads, "Pair O Dice Mesa, Fred Dice, Joe Dice."
