Perlita Knight [Gauthier] standing at the new Red Cliff bridge on Battle Mountain highway. The dedication was held at noon on Sunday, August 3, 1941. Governor Ralph L. Carr and other officials attended. The bridge and six miles of new highway built over Battle Mountain cost a total of $636,405.
