Castle Peak fire look-out cabin built in 1916; not used since 1938. Repairs done in 1962 or 1963. This area was prone to frequent electrical charges during storms and was therefore not continued as a fire lookout by the Forest Service. Castle Peak and the lookout station. The lookout station was used in finding fires throughout the surrounding areas, since it was located at approximately 11,275 feet.
