Ethel Mary and Jim Latham with their rifles and trophies. Ethel Mary was working as a telephone operator in Eagle when she met James W. Latham, a young railroad man. Ethel Mary died of a brain tumor in the early 1950s.

Mac (Alexander Jr.) and Margaret Macdonell with baby Dan in Eagle. Dan was the first grandchild of Alec and Sadie Macdonell. Margaret worked for Holy Cross Electric Association for 18 years at their Eagle office. She also collected bills for Rocky Mountain Natural Gas from 1971 to 1981. She collected payments, posted deposits and meter readings, filled out work orders, took calls and cleaned the office.

Alexander Macdonell in a studio photograph taken with two of his sisters in Scotland. Alex (called Ack or Ackie by his family), was born November 16, 1882, in Beauly, Scotland. He emigrated to the United States and was employed on the Frank Doll ranch in the Gypsum valley. He then leased land on the Geo. Wilkinson ranch on Brush Creek. He served with the U.S. Army 6th Cavalry in World War I.

This photograph was taken by Gene Borah, a relative of Alfred's, on June 6, 1897. Alfred writes in his journal, "Gene Packed his trunk took 2 Photos 1 of Baby in Churn." Alda was six months old.
