The house at left was the Michael family home; Edward and Edna operated the Eagle Valley Feed Mill, which is pictured next door to their home. The feed mill was located on Broadway Street in Eagle, Colorado until 1920, when Edward (E.A.) sold to Andrew Christensen. The railroad line can be seen in the foreground with other homes visible behind the Michael property.

A photograph of Broadway Street in Eagle, Colorado. Buildings and businesses line the street, including the E.E. Glenn store. Glenn's was located at the corner of 2nd and Broadway at the time and was also the post office. Eagle Valley Enterprise offices were located across the street from Glenn's. People are gathered on horseback and/or in wagons.

Edward A. Michael opened the Eagle Valley Feed Mill around 1912 until 1920 when he sold to Andrew Christensen. Around 1917, he added on to the existing operation with another barn, livery, and stable. This photograph shows both with finished signage. Two children are standing in the large open barn door of the first building and several wagons are outside the stable. A fire hydrant can be seen on corner of the dirt street.

"Down the main road toward Eagle and Castle Rock in distance" - from Alda Borah. It was also known as Brush Creek Road, now Capitol Street in Eagle. Fencelines line the dirt/gravel road with a utility pole on the right side.

The road at center was called Brush Creek Road, now Capitol Street, and this view is south of town. Castle Peak is in the distance, near center.

The photograph is printed on a postcard addressed to Ella Layton in Lee, California dated November 27, 1911 with the following message from a friend: "Here is a good picture of Eagle.
