"Miss Daggett" outside the general store in Gypsum. O.W. Daggett and his wife, Harriet Patterson Daggett, had four daughters. This may be daughter Harriette as the other women married: Elizabeth P. Couey, Eleanor D. Nesbit, Emma Lou Palmer.

Kris Keys of the Porchlight Players, portraying both O. W. Daggett and Ed Slaughter during the Gypsum Cemetery Tour July 16, 2011. The tour was sponsored by the Town of Gypsum in celebration of Gypsum's Centennial, held July 9-17, 2011. The Porchlight Players, a local drama group, portrayed interesting citizens of the town buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

"Mr. Daggett came to Colorado in 1882, and was one of the first to homestead land in the Eagle river valley. He owned and operated the Red Rock ranch and the Daggett store in Gypsum until 1897, when he went to Fulford, as postmaster and store operator. ..Later he was employed in the Eagle river canon. ... In 1891 he started publication of the Holy Cross Trail, and continued the publication of that paper until 1940."...
