Former Sweetwater resident Patsy Adrien Thatcher did March 20 in Ardmore, Okla. She was born to Roy and Maude Newberry, on Feb 8, 1929, in Artesia, N.M. She and Wallace Thatcher were married on May 19, 1947 in Portales, N.M.. They had spent many years in Sweetwater. She moved to Ardmore in in 2005, He preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son James Thatcher of Sweetwater, daughters Jennie Epperson of Canon City, Shirley Thatcher of Ardmore. Sisters Viola Orcutt o ffallbrook, Calif., Norma Sites of Roswell, N.M., and Mary Morgan of ILL, brother Robert Newberry of Parshall, Colo., Herbert Newberry of Portales, NM. She was preceded in death by two sister and brother, Carol Thatcher and Thomas Thatcher.
