Funeral services for Maccie L. Carmony, 59, of Vail, were held at the Vail interfaith Chapel at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26 with interment at the Sunset View Cemetery in Eagle. Maccie was the owner and manager of Bighorn Lodge in Vail. She was born in Manhattan, Kan. and is survived by her two sons, Lyle of Vail and Peter of Liberia, West Africa; her daughter, Carmaline E. Spurrier of Minneapolis; and a brother, John L. Lattimore Jr. of Freeport, Grand Bahamas. Maccie came to Vail nine years ago from Minneapolis and was very active in the Republican Party of Eagle County along with operating the lodge in Vail. The Rev. Thomas Stone officiated at the morning service.
