Funeral services for Percy R. BYERS were conducted in the Littleton Chapel of the Peace, Sept. 9.
Mr. BYERS was born March 12, 1884 at Schuyler, Neb., to John and Harriette BYERS. The family moved to Wray, Colorado to homestead in 1888.
He was married to Cecil O. BOLENDER August 9, 1905. Mr. BYERS ranched at Wray from 1905 to 1918 when he moved to Yampa. The BYERS' lived there until 1920 when they moved to Eagle.
For ten years, Mr. BYERS operated a business there, moving in 1930 to Dillon, where he bought a ranch on the Blue River. During the winters, they lived in Denver of fished in Hot Springs, N. Mex. and in 1943 moved to Littleton, when Mr. BYERS retired.
He had been in failing health for several months. and on Sept. 4, died of cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 345 N. Prince St., Littleton; one daughter, Vinta L. HAEGEY of Dillon; two sons Charles of Eagle and Frank of Dillon; one brother, Harvey of Long Beach, Calif. and one sister, Daisey RIFE of Wray. Six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive.
